【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】最近北美地區的氣候被「冷凍」，但哪支手機最容易被「凍死」，答案可能是iPhone 4s。

香港《蘋果日報》報導，原來iPhone 4或之後出的型號，只適合在攝氏0~35度使用，天氣太凍，不只讓螢幕觸碰功能失敗，鋰電池即使充滿電，也都會突然死亡。這時千萬別亂按或嘗試重新開機，應該將它帶回溫暖的地方，放近身體，或者用保護殼，電池回暖後會回復正常。

芬蘭科技網MikroPC測試了Apple、諾基亞、三星和hTC等4個牌子15台電話，發現原來iPhone 4s最不耐寒，-10度就會自動關機；最厲害是Samsung Galaxy 2，到-35度才關機。實驗還發現，當氣溫跌至-15至-20度，所有智慧型手機都會關機；低階的手機則較「長命」，捱得到-25度。

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】美國34歲婦人格雷特（Stacey Galette）在醫院進行子宮外孕移除手術，但醫生不慎刺穿她的腸子導致血液中毒，最後被迫雙腿截肢。法院上周裁定，醫院須賠償當事人18.6億台幣。
 
2009年10月，格雷特到紐約長島一間醫院接受腹腔鏡手術，移除子宮外孕。其間格雷特懷疑腸臟被刺穿，術後才會出現感染及血中毒。但醫院卻不顧格雷特的痛苦，3天後讓她出院，後來她的雙腿果然壞死，被迫切除雙腿保命。

當地法院在周五裁定，醫院須賠6200萬美元（約18.6億台幣）。格雷特對正義終於伸張感到高興，涉事醫生的姓名也被當局公開。

台中市東區樂成宮經常舉辦盛大的活動，例如大屯十八庄媽祖遶境活動，也積極參與媽祖聯誼會，並且經常配合台中市政府，逢年過節之際舉辦各式各樣的活動，例如中臺灣元宵燈會創意花燈比賽，也特別在每年月老聖誕農曆8月15日時，舉辦「樂見珍愛，成就幸福」的未婚聯誼活動。樂成宮董事長陳重雄表示，更重要的是，現在網際網路相當發達，他希望透過網路世界的傳播力量，讓馬祖的信仰更加年輕化、普遍化。

要為神明服務，必須要有絕對無私及奉獻的心，臺中市樂成宮董事長陳重雄，本著在地人朝夕在旱溪媽祖庇佑下成長的感恩心，在他接任樂成宮董事長之後，就積極推動，要將媽祖文化跟信仰更加國際化。

陳董事長也表示，列為第一要務的就是興建一座媽祖文化館，雖然籌建相當耗時，不過目前廟方已經開始啟動，甚至連媽祖信仰相關的文物，也逐步的在蒐集整理當中。

其實，一走進臺中樂成宮，就可以觀察到一座深具歷史記憶的地方信仰中心，感受到信眾們祈求媽祖娘娘庇佑的虔誠氛圍，寧靜而莊重，連廟口的服務志工都是溫厚而樸實。

不過，在參觀過整座樂成宮之後，也會驚喜的發現許多充滿創意之處，而這也是現任董事長陳重雄的新思維跟新構想，舉例說，在月老殿設置姻緣線跟姻緣瓶，吸引年輕信眾前來，祈求月下星君幫忙覓得好緣份，祈求的信眾可以求紅線綁在手上，也可以將姻緣的願望，寫在姻緣瓶中繫掛在殿內的桂樹上。

陳重雄董事長也認為，媽祖的信仰，需要讓更多年輕人知道跟傳承，因此他不僅跟中興大學合作，設立國際媽祖文化研究院，讓年輕學者一起投入媽祖文化研究，以學術帶動宗教信仰的文化層次，進而將媽祖的文化及信仰推向國際，更重要的是，現在網際網路相當發達，因此他也希望透過望網路世界的傳播力量，讓馬祖的信仰更加年輕化、普遍化。

據了解，舉凡逢年過節，樂成宮都會辦理一些大型活動，其中，媽祖出巡十八庄的活動，迄2013年已有一百九十一年的歷史，是大台中地區規模最大的宗教活動，2013年還獲得內政部評選為全國宗教百景之一，之前在2008年也被台中市政府評列為台中市唯二的無形文化資產。

樂成宮也多次組團赴大陸湄洲媽祖祖廟聯合參香，進行人與人、神與神的會面。連績主辦數次。也經常性在廟內辦理各項才藝比如書法、化妝美容、繪畫、插花、語文等活動，甚獲民眾歡迎。民國九十年開始，樂成宮也積極參與「台灣媽祖聯誼會」，這個組織成立的目的在發揚媽祖文化對信眾的影響力，還有服務精神，經過十多年來的努力，在推動文化交流、觀光、公益等方面，收到很好的成效。
