【周佩萱╱綜合外電報導】3日在義大利的蘭佩杜沙島外海，發生一艘載有逾500名非洲難民船沉沒事故，超過300人喪命，隨著一具具屍體被打撈起來，也揭發許多讓人心痛的故事，其中一具明顯早產的男嬰屍體，臍帶都還沒剪斷和媽媽緊連在一起，救難人員推測婦人應是在船上生產，不幸遇到船難，新生兒才剛來到這世上，隨即就葬生大海中。

母子2人被放在同一個棺材中安葬，死掉的媽媽也相當年輕，僅約20歲左右，這個悲慘的故事被報導出來，是因為歐盟一名官員探訪現場時，發現一具棺材特別龐大，詢問之下才得知原由，打撈起這對母子屍體的警員表示，從發現屍體那天起，他就難以入眠，現場同僚看見後大家都哭了。

這艘船上載乘的都是尋求庇護的非洲人，他們搭船冒險渡海而來，目的在尋求庇護途徑，希望能移居歐洲。

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】綁架並囚禁3女長達10年的美國俄亥俄州淫魔卡斯楚，9月初傳在獄中上吊身亡。但俄亥俄州官員昨稱他可能不是死於自殺，而是「窒息式自慰」。

一份俄亥俄州犯罪矯正機關的報告指出，卡斯楚死後被發現時，他的褲子已經褪到腳踝、沒有留下遺書，而且他生前所做的「多階段評估」並未發現他有自殺傾向，因此州政府要求警方重新調查卡斯楚的死因。

此外，俄亥俄州也發現負責看守卡斯楚的監獄守衛並未按時察看他的狀況，並涉嫌偽造巡邏記錄，才讓卡斯楚有「自殺」的空檔。

【方翊倩／綜合報導】電價漲民眾已叫苦連天，政府又擬開徵電影稅！文化部長龍應台昨表示，將推動《電影法》修法，針對電影票價開徵5%的「電影扶植稅」扶助國片發展，一旦修法通過，看電影全票將要貴10至16元。

《蘋果》報導，文化部昨舉行《電影法》修正草案諮詢會議，龍應台說，將推動成立電影事業發展基金，基金財源除政府預算外，還將針對電影票價課徵5%電影扶植稅，預計每年將可挹注電影產業3.6億元。以首輪電影全票價約190至310元計算，課說後票價將漲10至16元，學生票也會漲9到15元。

民眾、學者及電影導演齊聲痛罵，文化部此舉只會讓看電影的人越來越少，根本是殺雞取卵、白痴政策。
