【綜合報導】曾在日本、新加坡、香港等地展出的「越王勾踐劍」，已經被中國國家文物局認為基於安全考量，列為禁止出境品。

作為湖北省博物館「四大鎮館之寶」之一的越王勾踐劍，無論外形研製，還是質料搭配，都是中國青銅短兵器中罕見珍品。湖北省博物館常務副館長萬全文說，在《吳越春秋》和《越絕書》中記載，越王勾踐曾特請龍泉寶劍鑄劍師歐冶子，鑄造了5把名貴寶劍，分別為湛廬、純鈞、勝邪、魚腸、巨闕，都是削鐵如泥的稀世寶劍。

越王勾踐劍於1965年在湖北省江陵縣望山一號楚墓中出土，出土時完好如新，鋒刃銳利。該劍全劍長55.7公分，柄長8.4公分，劍寬4.6公分。劍身上裝飾有菱形花紋，劍格兩面用藍色琉璃鑲嵌精美花紋。中間靠近劍格外，鐫有8個錯金鳥篆體銘文。
