位於神戶市的日本理化學研究所與尖端醫療中心醫院，已針對「誘導性多功能幹細胞」（iPS）再生視網膜的臨床研究徵求患者，代表全球iPS臨床研究的正式啟動。

徵求的對象是「增齡性黃斑病變」患者，這是一種視網膜受傷導致視力急劇下降，甚至失明的頑疾，日本國內約有70萬這類患者。具體條件為50歲以上、矯正視力不足0.3、治療藥物無效、視野中心部分較暗等。

臨床研究中，科研人員將利用自患者手腕採集的皮膚組織製成iPS細胞，再將之轉化成視網膜色素上皮細胞，並製成薄膜狀，最後移植至患部。此項研究若成功，將可有效解決器官捐贈不足的問題。

【綜合報導】重慶萬州一名22歲女子，興致勃勃和「高富帥」網友見面，接觸後發現對方只是普通工薪階層，為擺脫糾纏，竟報警謊稱自己被綁架。

報警的劉姓女子周一前往四川渠縣，表示要獨自去見一位「高大、富有、帥氣」的網友，可是當晚，她卻給朋友發簡訊，聲稱自己被人綁架，囚禁在廁所裡。

警員接報後進行調查，並派出6名全副武裝的警員，前往渠縣一間招待所進行解救行動，卻發現劉姓女子正和一名男子在拉扯爭執，隨即將兩人帶回警局。

她這周上Jimmy Kimmel的現場節目時，突然表示「我感覺又來了，但我實在不想在這個地方來」，主持人Kimmel還沒弄清楚狀況時，歐普拉突然指著觀眾席上一名身穿藍衣的女生，並邀請她上台，接著歐普拉對著她說「你，你得到一台車了」，藍衣女生一副不可置信的樣子，歐普拉立刻請來助理主持人，帶著她去看突如其來送出去的大禮，全新的福特油電混合車。

歐普拉還幽默地表示「通常只要沒吃午餐的話，她就會興起送禮的衝動。」
