〈新聞小辭典〉央行文園

中央銀行「文園」位於新北市新店通往烏來的山路上，外表看起來是一個不起眼的營區，但裡面有一百多名武裝憲兵駐守，圍牆還架設通電的鐵絲網，高規格的維安，就是要保護國家「金脈」。

「文園」庫藏黃金425公噸（1362萬英兩），購入成本每英兩不到400美元；目前國際金價每英兩約1290美元，換算市值已達175億美元（約新台幣5267億元），增值約120億美元（約新台幣3600億元）。

文園收藏的黃金中，其中108萬英兩（佔7.9％）為當初央行在台復業後由台銀移交，色澤明顯較為暗淡，純度也只有99％。

央行表示，黃金是我國的貨幣準備，因此不會靠賣黃金來賺錢；但因黃金沒有孳息收入，所以也沒有考慮增持。目前我國黃金市值佔外匯存底近5％，高於日本、新加坡、中國及南韓等。
