「818拆政府」晚會在凱道登場，數千民眾相挺，並將矛頭對準苗栗縣長劉政鴻。台灣農村陣線表示，19日將與大埔居民至最高檢察署遞狀，希望檢察總長指定由特偵組徹查劉政鴻是否涉弊。

大埔4戶遭拆滿月，民間不滿政府官員尚未回應「道歉賠償、地歸原主、徹查弊案、立即修法」訴求，台灣農村陣線與捍衛農鄉聯盟號召群眾聚集凱道前抗議。

農陣指出，劉政鴻在兩屆苗栗縣長任內，造就苗栗縣成為全國最多「自救會」、人均負債第二高之縣市，靠著圈地炒地的不當開發，嗜土逐利，魚肉鄉民，可謂罄竹難書、怨聲載道，其目無王法之程度，甚至已被當地民眾謔稱「土皇帝」、「劉百億」，其所涉及之相關弊案，實屬重大貪瀆案件，然而苗栗檢調卻放任劉政鴻逍遙法外。

農陣說，19日將與大埔居民至最高檢察署遞狀，希望檢察總長指定由特偵組徹查劉政鴻弊案。

農陣同時呼籲，土地徵收條例修法必須實質修法，一步到位，並刪除區段徵收，才能徹底根絕浮濫徵收之亂象；就中長期而言，應儘速修訂都市計畫法、新訂國土計畫法，用以矯正區域發展失衡的亂象。

民間團體除了在現場發放「非暴力抗爭小手冊」，也將持續辦理相關講座。
