【短片】90公斤腫瘤　垂掛老翁肚上近14年

【綜合報導】美國加州現年63歲的賴瑞威斯特，1999年發現腹部有塊腫瘤，腫瘤迅速長大，從肚臍垂吊到腳部，腫瘤重達200磅約90公斤，造成他無法行走，還引發不少感染。

由於醫生擔心風險太太拒絕替他開刀，加上也沒有保險公司願意負擔他的手術費用，賴瑞遲遲未能動手術，直到27日加州貝克斯菲爾德紀念醫院的菲普迪夫醫生，願意替他開刀切除腫瘤。

醫生表示這個巨大腫瘤是由於硬化脂肪和感染的毛囊所造成，但腫瘤是由什麼組成還無法完全確認，手術將分三次進行，27日進行的第一次手術，切除了32磅，約14.5公斤的腫瘤，接下來2次手術將在3周內完成，預估3到4個月可完全復原。
