汽車與摩托車除了輪胎數量上的差異外，其動力的配置在以往也沒有任何交集，不過自從節能環保意識抬頭後，都會小車的引擎從既有的四缸慢慢發展到三缸，甚至是雙缸都是未來動力來源的替代方案，加上引擎技術也趨於成熟，未來重型機車與汽車兩者間也漸漸有了關聯性，最終會流通共用也說不定。
