【施旖婕╱綜合外電報導】中國廣西有一名8旬老翁罹患癌症，但他竟自行在家中「動手術」，上周六用刀切開自己的腹部，把腸子拿出來查看，並把其中一截疑似患癌的腸子切掉，扔進去水管，但最終因失血過多死亡。

原本外傳指老翁因沒錢治病，才不願意就醫。但當地政府指出，老翁家境還算不錯，兒女多次要送老翁就醫，但老翁可能認為治癒機會不大，所以要求不去醫院，不想拖累孩子。
