海燕重創菲國 聯合國警告：做最壞打算

聯合國(UN)11日警告，已對遭受海燕颱風重創的菲律賓做「最壞」的預期，表示光是塔克羅班(Tacloban)一個城鎮就可能有超過萬人罹難。

聯合國人道事務協調廳(UNOCHA)主任金約翰(John Ging)警告，罹難人數可能快速上升，他們正在做最壞的打算，在取得越多接觸之後，他們發現到更多人在海燕罹難的悲劇。

金約翰表示，目前無法就這場天災的總罹難人數做出估計，他表示目前的估計是逾萬人死亡。

聯合國人道事務主管艾摩斯(Valerie Amos)發表聲明說，根據地方官員估計，光是一個城市就有約1萬人罹難，他指的是菲律賓東部雷伊泰省(Leyte)的塔克羅班。

菲律賓總統艾奎諾三世(Benigno AquinoIII)11日已宣布國家進入緊急狀態，這將使政府得以控制物價，並且快速提撥緊急經費。

艾奎諾三世在電視演說中向災民保證，在未來幾天，援助將會更快的到來。他並且呼籲災民保持冷靜、祈禱，並且彼此合作。
