萬事達卡：美假期銷售比去年強

根據萬事達卡旗下的MasterCard Advisors SpendingPulse 26日公布的統計數據，11月1日至12 月24日美國假期購物季期間的零售銷售額增加2.3%，增幅高於去年同期的0.7%。

MasterCard Advisors資深副總裁昆蘭（Sarah Quinlan）說：「對美國零售業者來說，今年的確可以稱為快樂的耶誕。他指出，珠寶首飾是今年節期購物季銷售表現最佳的商品項目。

SpendingPulse追蹤假期購物季期間，消費者在成衣、電子裝置、珠寶首飾、奢侈品以及家具等商品的支出。

之前，分析師認為，今年假期購物季可能是2008年景氣衰退以來競爭最激烈、零售銷售表現最差的一年，因為許多美國消費者承受多重的壓力，包括薪資成長停滯不前、增稅、以及10月間政府局部關門16 天的影響。
