經過多年的潛沉，BMW終於在去年發表旗下首款前驅概念車型－Active Tourer Concept，以充滿人性化的空間設計和高經濟效益的PHEV（插電式混合動力）設定為主要訴求，不僅是被推測為旗下1-Series GT的雛形之外，其Outdoor概念車型更是導入了許多高機能性的周邊設備，試圖打入年輕世代族群，而正式的輛產車型預計將於2015年初上市。
