為夢想投入40餘年　結果讓人鼻酸

菲律賓阿特拉亞山腳下，矗立著一棟金字塔外型的寺廟，費時40多年興建還尚未完工，經歷過地震豪雨，寺廟依舊穩如泰山，但卻再也沒機會舉行落成典禮。

興建這座寺廟的人是當地一名藝術家耶穌派迪拉(Jesus Padilla)，他從1970年代開始興建，並取名為「Bale Batu」，派迪拉沒受過專門訓練，花費大半人生，靠著賣菜的錢，自己一磚一瓦從平地蓋起這棟寺廟，他的太太不認為他能完工，但他相信有志者事竟成。

不過2007年3月某天，派迪拉在寺廟工作時，突然覺得身體不適，請太太為他煮湯，沒想到這竟然是他的最後一餐，派迪拉與世長辭，始終未能完稱興建「Bale Batu」，但最後能在自己花費大半人生的夢想中死去，也算是一大慰藉了。 （周佩萱／綜合報導）
