退役NBA得分王麥格拉迪 加入棒球隊

位於德州的小聯盟棒球隊糖城蚊子隊(Sugar Land Skeeters)23日宣布，7度入選全明星賽的前美國職籃(NBA)球星麥格拉迪(Tracy McGrady)，已經簽約成為球隊的新投手。
34歲的麥格拉迪在NBA待了16個球季，包括在2004到2009年間效力休士頓火箭隊(Houston Rockets)，當時他是「移動長城」姚明的隊友。
麥格拉迪說，他很榮幸加入，能夠成為球隊的一分子對他意義重大，這也是他的美夢成真。
糖城蚊子隊將從24日起展開這個球季，在主場迎戰蘭加斯特巡迴演出者隊(Lancaster Barnstormers)。
麥格拉迪童年時打過棒球，但後來轉學到一個沒有棒球的學校，只好把焦點放在籃球上，並在日後建立起他的職籃生涯。
麥格拉迪高中畢業後，於1997年選秀以第九順位踏進美國職籃最高殿堂NBA，2001年榮獲最佳進步獎。
曾榮獲2屆得分王的麥格拉迪，總共出賽938場，平均每場得19.6分、5.6個籃板和4.4次助攻。
