郭泓志探望腦癌病童　勉勵他絕不放棄

統一7-ELEVEn獅隊終結者郭泓志，今日趁著賽前時間，抽空前往高雄小港探視罹患腦癌的14歲小球迷郭柏誠，並準備自己的實戰球衣給他，還勉勵柏誠：「一定要堅持下去，絕不輕言放棄。」
 
郭柏誠看到心目中的偶像小郭時，顯得相當緊張與興奮，甚至說不出話來，柏誠媽媽說：「他在11歲時被診斷出罹患腦癌，3年多來經歷無數次化療與追蹤，而動過多次手術人不放棄棒球的郭泓志，是他最大偶像，也希望自己能跟他一樣，既使遭遇挫折，也都能度過。」(賴德剛／高雄報導)
