中西對佛教的看法之不同?

 

末學自今年三月底開始，到YAHOO!Answer回答問題(回答了794題)，大部分是回答Religion & Spirituality(宗教與靈性)中的佛教與禪修或Mental Health(精神健康)的問題。

 

末學發覺中西方對佛教有很大的不同觀感，末學在此分享末學的觀察(純屬個人觀點)：

 

1.     西方對淨土似乎沒興趣，這個問題只有我一個人回答：

2.     由於高中的World History (世界歷史)有提到過佛教，所以大半的美國人對佛教的認識不是沒有(忘記了)，就是高中時的概念。

3.     西方對佛教的分類大概是：南傳、Zen(日式禪宗)、藏傳(達賴喇嘛)三種。

4.     禪修的方式有許多種，佛教禪修是其中之一，但大部分人認為佛教徒就一定在禪修。

5.     大半信佛的都是無神論者，所以西方以為佛教是不相信崇拜、神、等等的。

 

大概講來 ，末學還相當喜歡在這種環境回答，他們沒有投票(原本有投票，四月初改為沒投票)，所以問題回答了可以無限期的不解決。他們的答對百分比是：最佳題數/答題數，所以四月才參加的，最佳比率都不高。

 

但由於它們對佛教禪修還沒定見，所以末學回答時，還有一些人認同對身心的觀察是重要的。
