如何&為何要區分調性

我一直對區分調性有點疑問跟想像

1.區分調性的步驟是怎樣呢?
例如：Rock you like a hurricane這首歌
我在網路上找到一份譜，吉他六線譜完全看不出調性，五線譜標#F#C，
所以只有兩種可能?
D大調或B小調。

再來是否是看和弦進行才區分的出來??
如果是D大調的話和弦進行是II -> V ->VI ->II
如果是B小調 IV -> VII -> I ->IV
起音都不在主音，結尾也都不在主音
感覺沒有譜的話我會以為是Em調
所以這首歌到底是什麼調??
還是一首歌可以有多個調??

2.區分每首歌的調性的目的?
可以把不同的歌接起來嗎?
還是有其他應用呢
