印度學童中毒案　證實有殺蟲劑污染

【綜合報導】印度東部比哈爾邦首府巴特那(Patna)一所公立小學，16日發生集體食物中毒慘劇，當地警方經化驗後，20日證實食物和食用油中含有亞素靈(monocrotophos)，這是一種用來製造農藥和殺蟲劑的化合物。

先前，警方就已懷疑有人把存放食用油的器皿，用來儲存殺蟲劑。至於被指責沒有理會學校廚師警告，強迫廚師用怪味食用油料理的女校長，至今仍下落不明，已被警方通緝中。

這起食物中毒事件造成47名學生，身體不適送醫治療，結果有23人死亡，數以百計的家長與村民17日舉行示威，並放火燒毀4部警車。

免費的營養午餐原為印度政府，對抗貧窮地區饑餓問題並提升入學率的德政，卻因督導不周釀成悲劇。
