風吹大樹連根拔 老婦腿壓斷

（中央社記者管瑞平苗栗縣21日電）苗栗縣造橋鄉64歲郭姓婦人擔心颱風災害，今天到菜園巡視返家途中，遭到突然傾倒的大樹壓斷雙腿，送醫急救。

郭姓婦人被送到醫院時，因雙腿骨折，痛得不斷哀號，家人表示，天兔颱風來襲，雖然未在造橋鄉降下大雨，但風勢強勁，婦人才會去菜園巡視，回程行經大西國中網球場附近的小徑回家，突然一棵大樹倒下來，閃避不及被壓個正著。

當時在大西國中運動的兩名學生聽到呼救聲，前往查看，不過因傾倒的南洋榕直徑約30公分，高達約2層樓高，立即找人幫忙，附近5、6名居民合力分工將婦人下方的雜草、土石挖空後，才順利將她救出。

救護人員獲報趕往將婦人送往醫院急救，因雙腿大腿骨折須開刀治療，無生命危險。

苗栗縣消防局表示，苗栗地區今天下午風力約8至9級，陣風更高達11級，呼籲民眾經過樹林或山區，要隨時注意周遭情勢，以免發生危險。1020921
