永別了「阿拉伯的勞倫斯」　彼得奧圖過世享壽81歲

好萊塢又有一個名垂影史的巨星殞落了！《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》、永遠的彼德奧圖（Peter O'Toole），已證實於14日病逝倫敦，享年81歲。年輕影迷對彼得奧圖可能不太熟悉，唯一印象深刻的，可能就是去年奧斯卡頒獎典禮，當他領取終身成就獎時，那令人動容的一刻，再早些，大概就是他演出電影《末代皇帝》中溥儀的老師了，但其實他在1962年《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》裡，扮演一次大戰的英國軍官，才是他享譽全球的經典電影。

只可惜，彼得奧圖心中卻有個最大遺憾從未實現，那就是8次提名奧斯卡金像獎皆鎩羽而歸，最後影藝學院只好在去年頒發一座終身成就獎給他，但私底下他透露，自己原本不想去領獎的，因為他認為儘管年紀一大把了，仍有可能憑自己的實力拿下一座小金人，真不知是悲還是喜，悲的是彼得奧圖最終還是沒能實現自己的承諾，喜的是幸虧去年他收下小金人了。

出生於愛爾蘭、但在英國長大的彼得奧圖，獲得奧斯卡獎提名的巨作，除了《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》之外，還包括1964年的《雄霸天下》、1968年的《冬之獅》、1969年的「萬世師表」、1972年的「統治階層」、1980年的《特技演員》、1982年的《金色年代》和2006年的《維納斯》。
