新北市新店15日中午發生瓦斯氣爆意外，造成2死13傷的慘劇，卻引發新北市新聞局長林芥佑失言風波。民進黨議員李坤城與許昭興17日召開記者會指出，林芥佑面對記者竟說出「現場都已經恢復了，該拆都拆，該安置都安置了，勘什麼災？」痛批他態度輕挑。

這起氣爆意外地點位於安康路2段社區大樓3樓，造成15人輕重傷，其中一名女童與一名男童，還有他們的阿嬤，因離氣爆點最近，傷勢相當嚴重，男童到院前已無生命跡象，急救後仍宣告不治，阿嬤則是經過一夜搶救，在16日清晨也不幸過世。

而新北市市長朱立倫原訂於16日，與國民黨台北市長參選人連勝文會面，為「勝立連線」雙北團結、齊心勝選的氣氛造勢，因氣爆意外臨時取消。

15日晚間新北市新聞局長林芥佑，在向記者解釋朱立倫16日的行程時，脫口而出：「現場都已經恢復了，該拆都拆，該安置都安置了，勘什麼災？」

民進黨議員李坤城與許昭興公布錄音，還痛批林芥佑態度輕挑，完全不把市民的生命財產當回事，要求新北市官員檢討下台。
