Facebook 如何提升 Android 版速度？把工程師送去非洲就可以了

1841a334d2f44f90d4599ed4de0e6066 Facebook Android 版 App 更新，此次更新後應用程式的運行速度大幅提升，一名來自 Facebook 的員工透露，工程師去了一趟非洲了解了當地的網路狀況，Facebook 在低階智慧型手機上運行狀況糟糕，促使公司在短期內更新了 Android 版 App。

Facebook 工程師 Alex Sourov 表示，多名負責 Facebook App 研發的工程師去了一趟非洲地區，此行的目標是為了解當地用戶使用 Facebook 客戶端的體驗，他們在非洲購買了幾款低階 Android 手機，在當地網路狀況下，Facebook App 運行速度極慢，使用了半個小時，一個月的流量套餐就已經用完了，在糟糕的網路環境下工程師體驗到了 Facebook App 對於非洲用戶來說是多麼糟糕。

針對中低階手機的用戶，Facebook App 提高了啟動速度，不再加載所有功能，圖片使用 Webp 格式替代常用的 Jpeg 和 PNG 格式，降低流量的使用量，根據螢幕尺寸調整圖片尺寸，Facebook App 佔用的儲存空間佔據了 65%。
